Sunday Mass
2026
The performance is conceived as a devotional ceremony dedicated to a fictional goddess. The action unfolds through the symbolic appropriation of liturgical structures, ritual gestures, and ceremonial formulas from various religious traditions, reorganized into a fictional liturgy that belongs to no specific belief system. By gathering recognizable elements of worship practices, the work investigates the symbolic mechanisms that produce experiences of faith, belonging, and sacredness, transforming the exhibition space into a site of temporary veneration. Navigating between devotion and staging, Missa Dominical (Sunday Mass) proposes a reflection on the cultural construction of the sacred and the persistence of rituals as ways of assigning meaning to the world.
Casulo
2022
Casulo is centered around an action in which the artist invites people to serve as models for the quick creation of a mold made from plastic and adhesive tape. The materials are wrapped around the body, forming a film that is then removed and patched together, shaping a kind of cocoon. These cocoons are gradually suspended, giving rise to an installation that grows as the action is repeated with the arrival of new volunteer participants.
Upon encountering the molds, people are offered a new perception of their own bodies through this process. When one mold is placed alongside the others, they blend and become lost within the crystallized effect caused by the transparency of the tape and plastic—creating a visual impression of a cluster of human cocoons with an almost uniform appearance. The color and form of these bodies become nearly imperceptible within this projection.
DESAMAR.rar
2016
